Hardcover shipping times and tracking

<p>Hardcover books are professionally printed and shipped from our print partner. Here's what to expect.</p>

<h3>How long shipping takes</h3>

<p>Times include printing (1–3 business days) plus shipping.</p>

<p>These are estimates, not guarantees. Holidays, carrier delays, and customs can add time. Your checkout will show the most current estimate for your address.</p>

<h3>How to track your order</h3>

<p>After your book ships you'll receive an email with a tracking number and a link to follow it. You can also see order status in your account at <a href="https://moonshinestory.com/account">moonshinestory.com/account</a>.</p>

<p>Order stages you'll see:</p>

<ol>

<li><strong>Order placed</strong> — payment confirmed</li>

<li><strong>In production</strong> — book is being printed</li>

<li><strong>Quality check</strong> — printed book is inspected before shipping</li>

<li><strong>Shipped</strong> — handed off to the carrier (tracking link active)</li>

<li><strong>Out for delivery</strong> — local carrier has it</li>

<li><strong>Delivered</strong> — arrived at your address</li>

</ul>

<h3>My order is taking longer than expected</h3>

<p>If your tracking hasn't updated in 5+ business days, or if the estimated delivery date has passed by more than 3 business days, <a href="https://moonshinestory.com">open the chat</a> and tell us your order number. We'll look into it with the carrier.</p>

<p>Some legitimate causes of delay we see often:</p>

<ul>

<li>Customs holds (international orders)</li>

<li>Address issues — apartment number missing, business address closed</li>

<li>Carrier surges during holidays (December especially)</li>

</ul>

<h3>My book arrived damaged</h3>

<p>We'll reprint or refund at no charge. Send us a photo of the damage via <a href="https://moonshinestory.com">chat</a> or <a href="mailto:support@moonshinestory.com">support@moonshinestory.com</a> along with your order number, and we'll sort it out.</p>

<h3>Address changes</h3>

<p>If you need to update your shipping address, do it as fast as possible:</p>

<ul>

<li><strong>Before "In production" status</strong>: we can usually change it ourselves</li>

<li><strong>After printing has started</strong>: it's harder but sometimes still possible</li>

<li><strong>After shipping</strong>: you'll need to coordinate with the carrier using the tracking number</li>

</ul>

<p>Reach out via chat with the new address and your order number.</p>

<h3>Multiple books to the same address</h3>

<p>If you ordered several books in one transaction they'll usually arrive together. If you ordered them in separate purchases they may ship and arrive separately.</p>

<h3>International customs and duties</h3>

<p>We don't include customs or import duties in the shipping price — these are charged by your country's customs authority on arrival, if applicable. Children's books are often exempt or low-duty, but rules vary by country. Reach out if you need a commercial invoice or HS code for customs.</p>
